There are many things that happen in life that seem insurmountable. Sometimes all bad luck converges at one time and it feels like there is no way out. Things happen that change the trajectory of your dreams by altering the course. There are definitely events that are out of our control. No matter how much we wish it to be different, it feels like there is nothing that we can do to change the course.
Amidst the turmoil, you always have a choice. It is easy to stay focused on the bad risking that the outcome becomes a self-fulling prophecy. Or, grab a hold of the issue with a tight grasp and do not accept failure. Failure is not an option. Figuring out how to manage the conflict with new hope and inspiration can help you succeed.
When my friend Jan, challenged Jen and I to the National Blog Posting Month Challenge, I actually thought there was no way in hell I would be able to post a blog everyday. These women inspired me to blog originally, so it is amazingly germane that Jan dared me to participate in the challenge. Although, I am not surprised that I was inspired by Jan. There have been so many significant times in my life that Jan has inspired me. Thirty blog posts in thirty-day have been life changing experience. It has opened up new ways for me to communicate and share my feelings, perspective, and experiences. These stories come from my heart and are connected to my life.
Blogging daily has been sort of cathartic for me and has introduced me to a new way of being. I find myself more mindful of what’s happening around me. I pay closer attention to my experiences throughout the day. I think about what they might mean and what significance or meaning do they communicate. It has given me a vehicle to remember and share my past in ways that I hope have affected those who read them. Organically, temenos is a safe space, a place to be mindful, centered and feel safe. Temenos, now temenoscircle is a perfect place to set the stage and experience the past, present and future.
So with all myself doubt about being a good writer, good enough to roll with the likes of Jan, I never can turn down a good challenge. Any life challenge really does present two directions at the proverbial crossroad. You can choose the straight, easy road and let the challenge run its course. Or, you can choose to take the other road, complete with hills, curves with no straight path and adopt the attitude that anything is possible if you stay committed to accomplishment.
Through commitment, I can accomplish any challenge that life presents.
Actually, I can.
All of your reflections have been good but some of your stories have been extraordinary – so real and so heartfelt. Stories that educate and make people feel something they hadn’t before. I think that’s what happens with the daily writing. You stop thinking so much and you start just writing and let the message take over. I hope you keep it up. You have a lot of stories to tell and such a special way of telling them.
