Who is your Influencer?

There are so many people that influence us in life.

Our family and best friends have a great impact what we do or who we become. Our co-workers, our boss and/or customers affect us daily.  Leaders in our world impact our lives through the decisions they make that represent and direct our world. Spiritual leaders like Pastors, shepherd us to find our connection with a higher power like God to be our advisor and counselor.

Celebrities on T.V. direct what we think about things, advertising, social media guide our feelings about issues. Doctors remind us to be well and take care of us when we are feeling sick. Teachers help us learn new ways of thinking about things given their experience on particular subjects.

Who is your most significant influencer?

Abraham Lincoln said, “That all I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.”

Mitch Albom said, “I realized when you look at your mother, you are looking at the purest love you will ever know.”

Michelle Obama said, “I tell my kids, ‘I am thinking about you every other minute of my day.’”

Condoleezza Rice said, “My parents elected me president of the family when I was 4. We actually had an election every year and I always won. I’m an only child, and I could count on my mother’s vote.”

Lady Gaga said, “Acceptance, tolerance, bravery, compassion. These are the things my mom taught me.”

Edgar Allen Poe said,  “I feel that, in the Heavens above / The angels, whispering to one another, / Can find, among their burning terms of love / None so devotional as that of ‘Mother'”

Mother Teresa said, “If you want to bring happiness to the whole world, go home and love your family.”

Mark Twain said, “My mother had a great deal of trouble with me, but I think she enjoyed it!

Proverbs 31:28 reads, “Her children rise up and bless her.”

I am sure that all of have a Final influencer. The women that we call our mother. Whether your mother biological, adopted, or the women who raised and loved you, we all have been influenced by this long-lasting relationship.

How has your mother influenced you?

Happy Mother’s Day Mom, I love you most.

I am second. I will share my experiences, as a child of God, husband to Daniel, father, best friend, brother, son, leader, professor, writer and photographer. My intention for this blog is to be random, with no plan, no list, no direction and no expectations. Very different from how I lived my past life. My journey has been blessed by the mercy and grace of God and unwavering love. I hope you enjoy reading and sharing my experiences of hurts, laughter, discovery, friendships, Christ, and my family. Temenos is a safe circle where you can be yourself with peace of mind. Temenos originates from a Greek word which refers to a universal instinct to create a protected, safe space in which to heal, restore and regenerate yourself. My temenos circle is a place to be still and seek Jesus. It becomes my place to pray, reflect in the word of our Lord to shrink, grow in him, and heal my soul. What is your temenos circle?
