Be still and listen

7 Day Music Challenge Day 7!!!

Un Dia Llegara by Josh Groban.

Interpretation

I have been inspired the few weeks by the pastor at our church who was teaching us that in order to become closer to God, it is necessary to “Be still.” We can find this message in the verse Psalm 46:10, where He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

As this man finds himself lost, he yearns to end his loneliness. He knows if he listens in silence he will find the ultimate love. The love that is eternal that exists when the city falls asleep. At the calm of the storm, he had faith that he feels the safety of his embrace. Essentially what I hear is be still, and know that in the silence I will find God.

Lyrics

“Un Día Llegará”

Las hojas secas caerán
y cuando llegue Abril,
mi alma tocarás.
Te acercarás,
vendrás por mí.
Después de tanta soledad,
yo volveré a sentir.

One Day It Will Come

The dry leaves will fall
And when April comes
You will touch my soul
You will come closer…you will come to me
After so much loneliness
I will return to feeling
I will find…my peace…in you
When the city falls asleep
And the sun loses its color
I will search for you again
Until I reach this illusion
I will find you…and you will love me like this…

And I will listen to in the silence the voice of the heart
And the storm will be calmed in your arms
It is worth it to wait for your love because one day it will come.

I will find you…and you will love me like this…

And I will listen to in the silence the voice of the heart
And the storm will be calmed in your arms
It is worth it to wait for your love tomorrow…

I will embrace you…in the silence

Temenos originates from a Greek word which refers to a universal instinct to create a protected, safe space in which to heal, restore and regenerate yourself. My temenos circle is a place to be still and seek Jesus. It becomes my place to pray, reflect in the word of our Lord to shrink, grow in him, and heal my soul. What is your temenos circle?
